Booking terms and conditions

The following Booking Terms together with the general information contained on this website www.smardalemillshepods.com form the basis of your contract for your holiday.

Please read carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. In these Booking Terms, “guest”, “you” and “your” means the person named on the booking confirmation and all other persons staying at the property during the rental period. “us” and “our” relate to Smardale Mill shepods. All reservations are made subject to these Booking Terms.

Making your booking

Once we have received your booking request we will, subject to availability, confirm your stay by email. Please check the details on your email and contact us straight away if there are any issues.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £60 is required to secure your booking. The remaining holiday balance is due 4 weeks before arrival. 

Cancellation policy

If unforeseen circumstances arise, contact us to discuss cancellation or amendment options. 

Guest responsibility

When booking a shepod the Hirer undertakes to keep the premises and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the premises in the same state of repair and condition as the same are in at the commencement of the letting and shall report and pay to the owners the value of any part of the premises, furniture, fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged as to be incapable of being restored to its former condition.

​Families are welcome at Smardale Mill shepods, however we ask you to respect the nature of the location being set on a working family farm. Therefore, children must be supervised at all times. 

​No smoking

Both of our shepods are strictly no smoking.

​Dogs

We welcome two well behaved dogs at Smardale Mill shepods, for the consideration of other guests are to be kept under control at all times and exercised under your supervision. We also ask dogs to be kept on leads especially around livestock as failure to do this can cause significant distress to the animals.
